Apple Walnut Soaked Croissant

Hearty, wholesome and absolutely amazing, this Apple Walnut Soaked Croissant bowl is the perfect way to kick start your metabolism in the morning.

  • 5 (2 oz.) croissants
  • 2 tablespoons plain oats
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Born Sweet Zing™ Zero Calorie Stevia Sweetener
  • whipped cream, optional


Cut the croissants into 1-inch cubes; set aside in a large bowl.  

In large saucepan, toss oats for a few minutes on low heat. Add butter and let melt. Toss in apple chunks. Cook covered over medium heat until apples become soft. When done, a fork should easily pierce apples.  

Toss in walnuts and stir. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool until just a bit warm. Add Born Sweet Zing™ Zero Calorie Stevia Sweetener. Stir well to cover apple mixture.  

Spoon apple mixture over croissant pieces. Serve with fresh whipped cream or whipped topping of your choice.
